Editorial Policy & Research Standards

A guide should help you make one clear decision, including the decision not to buy. These standards apply to Uzmycode’s research, comparisons, links, and updates.

Separate specifications from conclusions

We use manufacturer instructions and dimension drawings for product-specific facts when available. We identify the exact model or configuration and link to the source. Our interpretation of fit or a tradeoff is distinguished from a manufacturer’s claim. Marketing phrases, customer ratings, and marketplace reviews are not proof of independent testing.

Be clear about experience and AI assistance

The current launch articles were prepared with AI assistance and checked against linked sources. They are research-based, not hands-on reviews. We will claim physical testing only when it has actually been performed and documented. We do not invent measurements, owners, testimonials, expert credentials, ratings, or test results.

Explain the decision

Guides should state the problem, the relevant measurements, meaningful drawbacks, alternatives, and who should skip a purchase. A comparison of shapes or installation methods is not a durability ranking. We avoid “best overall” claims without adequate comparative evidence.

Keep commercial relationships visible

Affiliate relationships are disclosed before commercial links, with the fuller explanation on our disclosure page. We do not sell a favorable verdict. A future sponsored placement would be labeled separately and would not be presented as an independent test.

Dates and corrections

A “sources checked” date records when the cited information was reviewed. It is not a promise that every specification remains unchanged. We change that date when we actually recheck material claims. Report a problem to hello@uzmycode.com; include the URL and the specific correction. Material corrections should explain what changed.

Useful limits

A paper footprint can screen out a poor fit, but cannot certify installation or safe use. Follow the exact product and cabinet instructions. Do not alter plumbing, electrical equipment, structural parts, or rental property based only on a general organization guide.
